Program Overview
The Full Plate Diet Weight Loss Program consists of a series of modules. Currently we have two program modules available with more on the way. If you have ideas for a topic you’d like us to consider, drop Amy a call or e-mail.

We suggest you start with our first module, Are You Eating Enough to Lose Weight?
What skills do I need?
If you can read, you’re ready to lead. The Facilitator Guide is designed so virtually anyone can successfully facilitate the program modules. You do not need any special qualifications other than caring for the people you are working with.
We do provide a short training program for groups upon request.
For more details, please contact Amy.
Module #1
Are You Eating Enough to Lose Weight?
During this eight-session module, your group will learn three powerful ways they can slim down, look great and be healthy.
- They’ll learn how to fill their plate and still lose weight
- They’ll learn 10 ways to lose weight and keep it off
- They’ll find out if they are actually ready to lose weight now, and if not, how
to get ready.
Each session is packed with intriguing activities, hands-on interaction and group problem solving. Each 50-minute session ends with participants choosing what their assignment will be for the upcoming week.

- Transform typical high-fat, low fiber American meals into natural fiber-rich Superfood feasts.

What makes this program different?
Our approach to weight loss is based on what we found worked and didn’t work in over a decade of helping people make lifestyle changes. Below are four of the distinguishing characteristics of our beliefs about weight loss.
- A desire to look better is a much stronger human motivator than a desire for better health. So, during the program we set aside what you care about and focus on meeting your participants where they are. If they’re successful at feeling better and looking great, you’ll get what you want.
- Most people make lasting change one small step at a time in their own community with a local social network. So, we picked one simple message: add more natural fiber-rich foods and water to your diet.
- Experts telling people what to do is not effective for long-term change. We’ve found that taking the expert hat off is difficult. But when we do, the interactions are amazing. So, if you’re an expert, we’ve engineered the program so you can practice stepping out of the expert role. You’ll be pleased with the results if you do.
- Behavior change works best in local small groups. Almost more valuable than the information and exercises is the new support network your participants will develop.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many sessions are the modules? The first module, “Are You Eating Enough to Lose Weight?” is eight sessions in length. The second module “Full Plate Meal Makeovers” is four sessions.
How long are the sessions?
Each session is approximately 50 minutes. If you want it to run longer, allow more time for sharing or add optional activities.
How often should I run a session?
It is best to run a session once a week. If you decide to do the program twice a week, allow at least three days between each session.
How many people is the program designed for?
We recommend anywhere from 5 – 20 people. If you have more than 20 people, you will not have time to allow participants to share in a meaningful way, which is critical to the success of your participants. Consider recruiting a second facilitator to guide a second group, or run an additional program at another time.
How much do participants pay for the program?
Participants pay whatever you decide to charge.
What kind of facilitator training will I need?
The program is easy to facilitate and does not require a great deal of training or large staff. We do provide a short training program for groups upon request. For more details, please contact us.
What materials will I need to run the program?
The majority of material you will need comes in your facilitator kit. There are a few other small items you will need that are listed in the “Materials & Supplies” section at the beginning of each session.
What materials come in a participant kit?
If this is your group’s first time going through one of our program modules, the participant kit includes the following:
- The Full Plate Diet book
- Participant Workbook
- The Full Plate Diet 12-Week Start-up Diary
- The Full Plate Diet Audio Book CD If they’ve participated in a program module in the past, then all they’ll need is the workbook for the next module. This is referenced as the “previous participant kit” in our online store.
How does a participant get their kit or workbook?
Most facilitators find it easier and less confusing to order all the participant kits and/or workbooks at one time. The materials are then distributed to the participants at the first session.
How should I sell kits or workbooks to participants?
You can either have participants purchase their materials in advance, or collect their payment at the beginning of the first session. Because we offer a no-risk, 30-day 100% refund, most facilitators order materials and collect payment at the first session.
What is your refund policy?
As long as the material has not been opened or used, you may send it back for a 100% refund within 30 days of the date of purchase.
Will I need any special equipment?
No DVD’s, computers or projectors are needed to guide the program.
What kind of space will I need?
A meeting space large enough to comfortably accommodate the group you anticipate.
How do I order program materials?
